181/365: The Sunset Parade
One of the benefits of being in DC is the immense amount of things you can do. Another benefit is when your poppie is a frequent traveler to DC, he knows all the cool things to do. So my poppie suggested that Dorothy and I check out 'The Sunset Parade' for our Tuesday evening activity.
So after a full day of meetings (and when I say full, I mean full, I was in heels the entire day because I was helping to run a meeting), we headed to The Sunset Parade. The only thing, we forgot the umbrella and we were drenched. We ended up eating in the hotel once we returned from the parade.

180/365: The Technology State Fair
I am not a big fan of the exhibit hall at NECC. Since I am taking a course that has us visiting the exhibit hall as part of the assignments, I had to go. As I was going down the escalator I snapped this picture of the different booths. The expansive size of this exhibit hall is intimidating (five football fields), let me just say I am glad that I had my walking shoes!

179/365: One of My Favorites
This morning I asked Dorothy if she would like to go to Mass with me at the National Shrine before we spent the day exploring the city. She readily agreed.
After going to Mass we began to explore the chapels and around the Shrine. As I came upon this chapel I saw this woman in prayer. I decided to snap her picture quietly. Since she was the only one in the chapel.

178/365: There Is Always a Bit of Fun
No worries this trip to DC is not all work. After a full day of meetings and meet up with Jen for coffee, I became a spy for the evening.
We did the Spy at Night. It was an interesting experience and Dorothy and I had a lot of fun. However, I am hoping that I can head back and go to the museum at a later date (maybe trip to DC #2 in August).

177/365: I Have Arrived
DC Trip #1 has started. I am so excited to be back in DC. I love this city. I love the fact that there is so much to do and never enough time to do it all.
Tonight's goal, get to the hotel, get dinner and head to bed. The meetings are starting early tomorrow.

176/365: Are you kidding me?
After my car had been sitting out in the sun for a while. I took a picture of the temp gauge. It said the temperature was 107, when it had calibrated (or whatever it does) it went down to a cool and comfortable 97.
So glad to know that DC is going to be about 75. I am looking forward to the cool down.

175/365: Such Love
Today is my poppie's birthday. My mum doesn't like frosting so she asked if he would take it off the cake since he was serving. He agreed and I took a picture.

174/365: Decisions, Decisions, Decisions
So I am leaving for DC on Friday and I am seriously struggling on what to wear, including right down to the swimsuit.
I ended up choosing the white and yellow one. The navy blue and pink one looked too much like the suits I already had.
Although, I did score well with some Capris. I found a couple pairs that were from The Limited and were only $14. Yes, I bought a pair in EVERY color!

172/365: Happy Father's Day
In honor of Father's Day, my poppie and I went to our favorite ice cream place. However, he only ordered a child sized, so glad he asked for it to be put in a waffle cone.
So happy Father's Day to the man, who took me to some of the neatest out of the ordinary places (Note to SM and Mum: Jerry!), told me that horses were cows and cows were horses, taught me how to ski and skate, and enjoys a good bike ride finished off with ice cream. Love you!

Just a picture of my keychain. I spent a semester at Oxford and the
key chain reminds me to work hard.

164/365: Mum we didn't sit that close!
Our friend Ben who is a pyrotechnic (he is also my jeweler) brought us
to the fireworks launch pad. We got to sit so close that we actually
had to lay down but we were safe from all the ash and debris.

going out of business after 145 years.

I always get asked about how much wine we have enjoyed on our wall. I
figured it would be a good idea to share.

152/365: New Dish Towels
For my birthday my mum and sista bought me new dish towels. I promptly
introduced them to The Laundry Fairy and cleared out the old ratty
ones. Fear not my towels look like they are neatly folded and properly
placed, well, until the evil make-a-mess fairy comes to visit.
